Services for Charles Ernest Edwards, of Meadville, are 11 a.m.on Friday, May 7, at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church inMeadville, with burial in the church cemetery. Franklin FuneralHome in Meadville is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Edwards, 78, died May 4, 2010, at Franklin Memorial Hospital inMeadville. He was born in Amite County on Aug. 4, 1931, to W.B.Edwards and Nettie Nunnery Edwards.

He was retired from International Paper Company in Natchez. He wasa member of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Causey Edwards, of Meadville; hissons, Jimmy Edwards (Wanda), of Meadville, and Larry Edwards(Lynne), of Sandville, Ga.; his sister, Mary Holbrook (Harold), ofBrandon; his five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a specialniece, Wanda Parker and husband, Chuck, of Natchez; and a host ofnieces and nephews.
