Kristi A. Hafner and Thomas W. Tarkenton III announce theirengagement and approaching marriage.

She is the daughter of Clyde Sr. and Peggy Ellzey, ofBrookhaven.

He is the son of Thomas W. Jr. and Sheila Tarkenton, of GlenAllen, Va.

The bride-elect is a 1992 graduate of Brookhaven High School.She is employed with Sam’s Club in Lynchburg, Va.

The prospective groom is a 1987 graduate of Hermitage HighSchool in Richmond, Va. He is the PGA professional at Colonial HillGolf Club in Forest, Va.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, October 9, 2010.
