Services for Jerry C. Wallace, of Roxie, are 10 a.m. Saturday,May 15, at Meadville Baptist Church, with burial in MidwayCemetery, in Meadville. Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wallace, 76, died May 13, 2010, at his residence. He was bornin Franklin County on May 27, 1933, to Clinton Wallace and MadaleneJackson Pickens.

He was a retired auto technician. He was a veteran of the UnitedStates Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a memberof Meadville Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and three sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Bessie Twiner Wallace, of Meadville; hisbrothers, Danny Wallace, of Smithdale, and Ricky Wallace, of Roxie;his sisters, Joycelyn Etheridge, of Atlanta, Ga., Debbie Smith, ofWesson, Connie Evans, of Ridgeland, Jo Nell Dorsey, Carolyn Wallaceand Pat Untereiner, all of Metairie, La., and Gloria Walters, ofRoxie; his sister-in-law, Pat Zumbro, of Roxie; his special nephew,Perry Zumbro, of Roxie; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Greg Tendle, Jimmy Wilson, David Southerland, MikeGoff, Ricky Long, Trey Hill, Charles Calcote and Bobby Kelly.Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Meadville BaptistChurch.
