Alice Phillips and J.T. Phillips, and James Smith, of Brookhavenannounce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter,Sophia Lee, to Willard Blue III, of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Lillie and Willard Blue II, of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of the late James and Dora Lee, the lateEd Philips and Estella Phillips and the late Severa Smith, all ofBrookhaven.

He is the grandson of the late Bill and Lillie Blue, and the lateA.J. and Earnestine Smith, of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a 1987 graduate of Brookhaven High School, and agraduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Rice College. Sheis employed with the Brookhaven School District and Lindsey HeadStart Center.

The prospective groom is a 1988 graduate of Brookhaven High School,and has served in the Army for five years. He is employed withSanderson Farms.

The wedding is 3 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at the National GuardArmory. A reception will follow at the same location.
