Funeral services for Prudence E. Coke Parnell, of Brookhaven,are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel,with burial in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in LincolnCounty. Dr. Wayne Webster will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Parnell, 92, died June 5, 2010, at Silver Cross Home inBrookhaven. She was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 13, 1918, to EmmaJordan and Bolivar Coke.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her brothers, WillardCoke and Bobby Coke.

Survivors are her son, John Parnell, of Brookhaven; her daughter,Charlotte P. Kupper, of Victor, N.Y.; her brothers, Charles Coke,of Chicago, Ill., and Lynn Coke, of Brookhaven; and her threegrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
