BUDE – Franklin County took a giant’s step forward Tuesday nightin the Dixie Youth Baseball AAA 10s North Subdistrict SixTournament at Leroy “Cowboy” Jones Memorial Field, beating theLincoln County Americans 9-4. Franklin County remains unbeaten inthe double-elimination tournament and plays Lincoln CountyNationals tonight at 8. Natchez plays Copiah in an elimination gameat 6 p.m.

The Lincoln County Americans will meet the loser of the FranklinCounty/ Lincoln Nationals, Thursday at 6 p.m. in an eliminationgame.

Jacob McDaniel and Tebow Hunt both singled and doubled to pace theFranklin County attack. Dalton Hayles doubled. Chase Freeman andBronson Smith singled.

Marquise Bridges (1 K, 1 BB) was the losing pitcher.

The Americans got two singles from Jaiden Clark. Cade Hodges andTyler Fielder doubled.
