Funeral services for Sandra Lynn Breaux, of Brookhaven, are 3p.m. on Sunday, July 4, at Holly Springs Baptist Church in LincolnCounty, with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Homeon Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday at the church from 2 p.m. until the time ofthe service.

Miss Breaux, 61, passed away peacefully July 2, 2010, at HospiceMinistries in Ridgeland, following a brief illness. She was born inAbbeville, La., on Dec. 6, 1948.

She is best remembered by her inspired creativity, keenintelligence, kind heart and great sense of humor. As a lifelongartist, Sandra was an art educator in Louisiana and Mississippi formany years. Sandra’s artistic talents extended to music as well.She played the piano and the accordion. Her great passions werereading and music.

Miss Breaux was a retired school teacher, having taught atAlexander Junior High School in Brookhaven. She earned her Bachelorof Arts degree in art history and a minor in psychology and herMaster of Business Administration degree from Nicholls StateUniversity in Thibodaux, La. She was a member of the Baptistfaith.

Preceding her in death was her father, Lloyd Breaux; and hernephew, Joshua Ives.

Survivors are her mother, Sara Emma Franklin Breaux, of Brookhaven;her sister, Sharon Breaux Ives, of Houston, Texas; and severalother cherished extended family members.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any contributions inSandra’s memory be directed to Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne CenterBoulevard, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
