Charlie Bruce Fields

Charlie Bruce Fields, 58, a native of Brookhaven, lost hiscourageous battle to cancer on July 21, 2010, at his home inRoseville, Calif.
He was a longtime resident of Roseville and was born Jan. 14, 1958,in Lincoln County to Alvin and Flora B. Fields. He was a 1970graduate of Brookhaven High School and a 1974 graduate of MorehouseCollege. He was formerly employed with Bentex Medical Research andDevelopmental Center as a director.
A memorial service honoring the life of Charlie Bruce will be heldon Sunday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. at Saint Luke Missionary BaptistChurch in Brookhaven.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Alvin and Flora B. Fields;his wife, Debra Fields; and his son, Dorian Alexander Fields.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his daughters, KierstenFields, of Roseville, and Nikki Belk, of Charlotte, N.C.; his son,Brandon Fields, of Roseville; his brother, Jerome (Twandy) Fields,of McComb; his sisters, Mariette Fields, Robbie Fields, Salinda(Patrick) Hardy, and Alice Calcote, all of Brookhaven, and MazzieDowns, of Landover, Md.; his uncle, James B. Knight of MountainView, Calif.; his aunts, Betty Johnson Washington and LindaMerchant, both of Brookhaven, and Mary Black Johnson, of Antelope,Calif.; three grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews andfriends.
