Funeral services for Houston Foster, of Wesson, are 3 p.m. onSunday, Sept. 5, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brookhaven, withburial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on NatchezDrive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home andSunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.

Mr. Foster, 77, died Sept. 3, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 29, 1932,to Qunnie Foster and Viola Smith Foster.

He was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Mt. Zion BaptistChurch and was a United States Army veteran of the Koreanconflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, MargueritteFoster Warren; and his brother, Smith Foster.

Survivors are his wife, Annie Ruth Callender Foster, of Wesson; hisson, Ronald Keith Foster, of Wesson; his daughters, Cathy FosterParker and husband, William, of Crystal Springs, and Karen FosterChaffin and husband, Stuart, of Brookhaven; his brother, LeonardFoster, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, George Glynn Foster, ShaeColeman, Hollie Peets, Sidney Chaffin and Casey Chaffin; hisgreat-grandchildren, Brayden, Bryce and Brooke Coleman; and hisvery special friend, Frank Shoemake, of Brandon.
