Funeral services for Richard Thomas Baker Jr., of Bogue Chitto,are 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapelon Natchez Drive, with burial in Pleasant Hill Baptist ChurchCemetery in Bogue Chitto. The Revs. Robby Britt and Thomas Wickerwill officiate.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Baker, 72, died Sept. 3, 2010, at his residence. He was born inLincoln County on Feb. 16, 1938, to Richard Thomas Baker Sr. andRuby Deere Baker.

He was a retired lithographer for American Can Company in NewOrleans, La. He was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church inBrookhaven and served in the United States Army Reserves.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, PharoahBaker; and his sisters, Tommie Ruth Welch, Lottie Mae Davis andNellie Rae Clark.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy P. Baker, of Bogue Chitto; his son,Richard Thomas Baker III and wife, Lesa, of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughter, Victoria (Vicki) Lynn Baker Blissett and husband, Gary,of Clinton; his brother, Cecil L. Baker and wife, Angela, ofBrookhaven; and his grandchildren, John Courtney Buie and wife,Jordan, Christopher Buie and Thomas Harrison Baker.

Pallbearers will be John Courtney Buie, Christopher Buie, JasonDouglas, David Wallace, Tony Laird and Wayne Bowman.

Honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Harrison Baker.
