Funeral services for Kate Hawkins Dickerson, of Brookhaven, are11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNorth Jackson Street, with graveside service at 1:30 p.m. atLakewood South Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson.

Visitation is Monday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Dickerson, 90, died Sept. 10, 2010, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center in Brookhaven. She was born in Stewart on Feb. 21,1920, to John F. Hawkins and Willie Bell Roark Hawkins.

She was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church in Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband, CharlesH. Dickerson.

Survivors are her sons, James David Dickerson, of Terry, andStanley Dickerson, of Brookhaven; her daughter, Linda Hudson, ofTylertown; her five grandchildren and threegreat-grandchildren.
