Funeral services for Kristi Thornton Case, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Case, 48, died Oct. 15, 2010, at Forrest General Hospital inHattiesburg. She was born in McComb on Aug. 26, 1962.

She was a graduate of Parklane Academy in McComb and Copiah-LincolnCommunity College and attended Hinds Community College. She was acaregiver and private sitter. She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were Nichlos Elmer and Eva Mae Johnson, Esawand Rodie Thornton, Charles and Macy Nelson; and a special aunt,Wonzie Matlock.

Survivors are her parents, Clyde and Sherry Thornton, of McComb,and Marcelle and Eddie Nelson, of Brookhaven; her daughters, ShaunaSmith McGill and Tara Smith McGill; her long lifetime friend, BillyJoe “Goat” Barton; her brothers, Reggie Thornton and Eddie NelsonJr.; her sisters, Thresa Nelson Watson and Tracy Lynn Miller; hergrandchildren, Taylor Kennedy, Bishop Kennedy, Natalee KaidenceBergeron, Hayden McGill, Dylan McGill and Chloe McGill; andnumerous nieces and nephews.
