Lady Jackets in first win

The Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets picked up their first victoryof the season with a 42-25 win over the West Lincoln Lady BearsTuesday night in Jack Case Gymnasium.
In the varsity boys’ game, West Lincoln’s Bears crushed theEnterprise Jackets 72-48 in the late game.
West Lincoln resumes action Thursday, hosting the North PikeJaguars. Tip off is 6 p.m., with the varsity girls. The North Pikegame was originally schedule for Friday, but was moved a day earlydue to the Jaguars being in the football playoffs.
Enterprise returns to action Friday, traveling to Mt. Hermon toplay the Louisiana-based Yellow Jackets. Game time begins 6 p.m.with the varsity girls, followed by the boys.
Enterprise 42, West Lincoln 25
Karla Beth Hux led the Lady Jackets (1-3) with 10 points, 5rebounds, 2 steals and 3 assists. Caroleah Brister pumped in 9points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
“This was a very good win us,” said Enterprise coach Jill Nations.”My girls played really hard.”
Karli Herrington and Marisa Pruski led the Lady Bears (1-1) with 11points apiece.
“We played pitiful,” said West Lincoln coach Lane Young. “We havegot to get on the same page and run our game plan. Enterprisewhipped our tails in all phases of the game.”
West Lincoln 72, Enterprise 48
De Price pumped in a game-high 21 points and secured 7 rebounds tolead the Bears (2-0). Lucas Burris contributed 16 points andgrabbed 8 rebounds.
“We played pretty well in spurts,” said Young. “Our defense wasgood. Enterprise has a very good team. They made some tough shots.We have got to be more constituent on our offense.”
Thomas Allen was the leading scorer for the Jackets (0-3) with 13points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Nathan Foster provided 10points.
“We got a lot of young guys on the floor,” said Enterprise coachJohn Knight. “This is a learning experience for us in each game.West Lincoln has a good team.”
In junior varsity action, the Enterprise Lady Jackets collected a20-14 victory over West Lincoln. Peyton Mullins led the Lady Bearswith 9 points. Brittany Moak was the leading scorer for Enterprisewith 10 points.
In the boys’ game, West Lincoln cruised to a 31-12 victory overEnterprise. LaKeith Ward led the Bears with 12 points. DakotaRichardson was the leading scorer for the Jackets with 7points.
