Funeral services for Charles M. “Chuck” Griffin, of Harrison,Ga., are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Middleton Creek PrimitiveBaptist Church in Meadville, with burial in Providence BaptistChurch Cemetery in Franklin County. The Rev. Lance Moak and ElderThomas Griffin will officiate. Franklin Funeral Home in Meadvilleis in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from 4 until 9 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Griffin, 70, died Nov. 10, 2010, at Medical College of Georgia(MCG) in Augusta. He was born in Pensacola, Fla., on March 30,1940, to Charles M. Griffin Sr. and Maie Barlow Griffin.
He was a retired maintenance supervisor with American RailcarIndustries. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Churchin Tennille, Ga. He was a veteran of the United States AirForce.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister and onebrother.
He is survived by his wife, Tommie Jean Griffin, of Harrison; hissons, Robert Dale Griffin of San Antonio, Texas, Thomas Griffin ofMeadville, David Griffin of McCall Creek, Jonathan Aric Griffin ofFort Walton, Fla., and Anthony Griffin, of Fort Walton; hisdaughters, Belinda Stacks of Fort Walton, Betty Wolfe of FortWalton, Marjorie De La Garza of San Antonio, and Alisha Griffin ofHarrison; his sister, Judith Roberts of Brookhaven; his 22grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Ray Beard, Lester Procter Jr., Christopher Griffin,Connor Griffin, Aric Griffin, Justin Proctor, Arthur Gill and MacCothren.
Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Griffin and Joshua Griffin.
