Funeral services for Mary Lou Smith Sturm, of Brandon, are 11a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel, withburial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home, andon Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Sturm, 82, died Dec. 5, 2010, at Brandon Nursing andRehabilitation Center in Brandon. She was born in Mississippi onJune 29, 1928, to Wilburn Allen and Bettie Case Allen.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Marvin “Bud”Sturm; her grandson, Noah Dale Smith; her former husband, TrentonBill Smith, and their daughter, Belita.

Survivors are her sons, Billy Dale Smith and wife Julie of Jackson,and Jimmy Smith and wife Geraldine of Brookhaven; her stepchildren,Bonnie Lash, Alice Sturm, Marvin Sturm Jr. and Ronald Sturm; hergrandchild, Penny and husband Stephen; her stepgrandchildren,Angela, Sarah, Mary Jo, Matthew, Erica, Mark and Kailee; and hergreat-stepgrandchildren, Olivia, William, Cayne and Cameron.
