Funeral services for Harold Allgood, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m.on Saturday, Dec. 18, at Friendship Baptist Church in Brookhaven,with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home onNatchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Allgood, 86, died Dec. 16, 2010, at Brook Manor – Golden LivingCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 15,1924.

He was retired from his work as manager of sheet metal fabricationwith Potter Company. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WorldWar II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Harold “Sonny”Allgood Jr.; his sisters, Lexie Walker, Anna Marie Beeson andMargaret Alice Ritchie; and his brother, Bobby Beeson.

Survivors are his wife, Cleo Crane Allgood of Brookhaven; his son,Henry Allgood and wife Deanne of Brookhaven; his daughters, JudithSmith and husband Wayne, and Theresa Ballard and husband Henry, allof Brookhaven; his daughter-in-law, Thelma Allgood of Natchez; hisbrothers, Adolph Allgood, Carey Beeson and Harold Ray Beeson; hissisters, Nelleane Smith, Ernestine McKey, Flora Mae Stein andCorrine Damico; his 10 grandchildren, Jason Calhoun, Chris Calhoun,Christy Rando, Jeff Smith, Daniel Ballard, Melissa Davis, AshleyAllgood, Austin Allgood, Elizabeth Freeman and Danielle Russell;and his 24 great-grandchildren and fourgreat-great-grandchildren.
