Funeral services for Eugene Rowan Smith, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel, with burial in New Sight Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation was held on Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Smith, 65, died Dec. 19, 2010, at his residence. He was born inBrookhaven on Jan. 1, 1945.

He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of New SightBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his father, James R. Smith Sr.; hismother, Beatrice Walker Smith; his brother, Junior Smith; and hisfather-in-law, Clifton Crane.

Survivors are his wife, Elaine Crane Smith; his sons, Jeffrey Smithand wife Dana, and Michael Smith and wife Beth; his daughter,Shelley Smith Lee and husband, Jeff of Brandon; his grandchildren,Ryan Smith, Erica Smith, Carly Smith and Melody Smith; hismother-in-law, Joyce Crane; his sister-in-law, Linda Faye Smith;his nieces, Sharon Case and Sheree Crosby; and numerous otherfamily members.
