Funeral services for Leonard Lowery Case are Sunday, Jan. 2,2011, at 2 p.m. at Gum Grove Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service atthe church.

Mr. Case, 79, of Brookhaven, died Dec. 30, 2010, at his residenceafter a long battle with cancer. He was born on Sept. 2, 1931, inLincoln County. He was the son of Homer and Modena Case. He was aUnited States Air Force veteran serving during the Korean conflict.He was a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church where he served as aSunday school teacher and a deacon. He was employed with BellSouthfor 31 years and has been retired for the past 25 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his grandson, WilliamSmith.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Watts Case; his sons, Duane Caseand wife, Pat, and Bruce Case and wife, Candi; his daughter,Deborah Case Smith and husband, Bill; eight grandchildren, Michael,Luke and Jon Case, Kayla Case Brown and husband, Stephen, Mark Caseand wife, Nicole, Josh Case and Matthew and Daniel Smith; threegreat-grandchildren, Casen Brown and Madilyn and Parker Case; threebrothers, Charles Case and wife, Jewel, Lonnie Case and wife,Charlene, and Tony Case and wife, Beth; and many nieces andnephews.

Pallbearers are his grandchildren.
