Natchez Cathedral clipped the Loyd Star Hornets 31-25 at LoydStar Monday night in junior high basketball action. The Green Wavegot 10 points each from Will Sandel and Jadarius Anderson.Cathedral shot 20 free throws and made 5.

The Hornets (4-6) got 10 points each from Levi Redd and DorianBeard. Edrick Alsworth, Peyton Flowers and Hayden Brownlee had 2points apiece.

Cathedral edged Loyd Star 27-24 in the junior high girls game asAkua Kumi scored 10 points for the Lady Waves. Tori Bradford added7 points. McKenzie Milligan and McKenzie Watts each had 5points.

The Lady Hornets (7-4) were led by Ragin Smith with 9 points. AliGartman and Victoria Cupit added 4 points apiece.

Loyd Star hosts West Lincoln Thursday for junior high action,starting at 6 p.m.
