Funeral services for Curtis Revere Green,of Brookhaven, were 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, at FriendshipBaptist Church in Brookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery.Marshall Funeral Home in Brookhaven was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Green, 79, died Jan. 5, 2011, at his residence. He was born inPrentiss on Nov. 10, 1931, to Lonnie and Mattie Nora BuckhalterGreen.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sons, Ronnie EarlGreen and Michael Oliver Green; and his granddaughter, KatherineMoak.

Survivors are his loving and devoted wife, Gail Beard Green; hisdaughters, Nancy Love and Shirley Hudson; his stepdaughter, SarahDean; his stepson, Donald Boyd; his sisters, Myrtis Smith and IvoneMartin; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
