Funeral services for Ray C. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. onWednesday, Jan. 12, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel,with burial in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery inBrookhaven.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Smith, 82, died Jan. 9, 2011, at his residence. He was born inMississippi on Jan. 29, 1928.

He was retired from his job as a salesman with Durr-Fillauer. Hewas a veteran of the United States Army and served during theKorean Conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church ofBrookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Willie and Ima Smith; hiswife, Lucille Smith; his sisters, Martha Smith, Ira Smith and RebaCrump; his brothers, Hugh Smith, Frank Smith, Alton Smith, WillieWebb Smith, Charles Smith and Paul Smith.

Survivors are his son, Michael Smith and wife, Kaye; his daughter,Kathy Morris and husband, Ronnie; and his five grandchildren andeight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Brookhaven.
