UTICA – The Hinds AHS Lady Bulldogs crushed the Enterprise LadyYellow Jackets 55-29 in Region 6-2A action Friday night.

In the boys’ game, the Bulldogs managed to hold off the Jackets fora 66-52 victory.

The Jackets and Lady Jackets resume action Tuesday, hosting regionfoe Loyd Star’s Hornets. Game time begins at 4 p.m. with two juniorvarsity games. The varsity girls’ game is at 6 followed by theboys.

Hinds AHS 55, Enterprise 29

Erica Hams and Eugena Grigsby pumped in a game-high 19 pointsapiece to lead the Lady Bulldogs.

Sophomore guard Caroleah Brister was the leader for the LadyJackets (9-13, 3-2) with 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.Sophomore center Veonka Sanders added 9 points, 13 rebounds and 2steals.

“We made too many turnovers to win the game,” said Enterprise CoachJill Nations.

Hinds AHS 66, Enterprise 52

Senior forward Sam Furr knocked down 17 points and dished out 3assist to lead the Jackets (3-19, 1-4). Senior guard Thomas Allencontributed 14 points and collected 3 steals. Lance Spring was theleader on the boards with 5 rebounds.

“Our guys played hard,” said Enterprise coach John Knight. “Theyjust wore us down and pulled away in the fourth.”

The Bulldogs led Enterprise 30-23 at halftime.

DeAndre Bolton was the top scorer for the Bulldogs with 20 points.Jalen Price chipped in with 12 points.
