Funeral services for Peggy E. Byrd, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.on Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home on Natchez Drive.

Mrs. Byrd, 74, died Jan. 25, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital inJackson. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 14, 1936 to Sam OliverEntrican and Pauline Newell Entrican.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Macedonia BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, PhyllisSmith, Medra Britt, Ida Lee Forte; and her brother SamEntrican.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Doyle S. Byrd, ofBrookhaven; her daughter Amanda Byrd Rawls and her husband, Robert,of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Liza and Preston Rawls, ofBrookhaven; her sister and brother-in-law Geneva Byrd Barfield andBilly Barfield, of Newellton, La.; her nephews, Todd Barfield, ofBentonville, Ark., Tony Barfield, of Houston, Texas, and ScottSmith of Brookhaven; and her niece, Jenny Smith Wilson, ofMadison.
