Funeral services for Johnnie B. Hudson Sr., of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, at Willie Mae Tyler Memorial Chapel, withburial in Carver Heights Cemetery in Brookhaven.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.
Mr. Hudson, 88, died Jan. 26, 2011, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Lincoln County on July 27,1922, to Lincoln Hudson and Emma Hudson.
He was retired from Jacobson Lawnmower Company. He attendedAlexander High School. He was a member of Della Green MissionaryBaptist Church in Brookhaven.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, Edna MaeHudson Stanley; his brothers, Frank, Charlie, William, M.L.,Goldman, Denon and Olian; and his sisters, Luannie, Alice, Alphie,Zulah, Beulah, Minnie, Josephine, Dora, Mary and Eva.
Survivors are his wife, Annie Francis Webb Hudson of Brookhaven;his sons, Johnnie B. Hudson Jr. of Brookhaven, Lincoln Hudson ofKingston, N.Y., George Hudson of Brookhaven, Ted Hudson ofManassas, Va., Keith Hudson of Spring Hill, Tenn., and KennethHudson of Davenport, Iowa; his daughters, Janice Tom-George ofBrooklyn, N.Y., Annie Ruth Hudson of Jackson, and Andrea Hatcher ofBrookhaven; his 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
