Graveside services for Nancy M. Schorle Simmons, of Laurel, willbe held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, at Felix Allen Cemeteryin Pike County, with the Rev. Chad Yarborough officiating.Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Simmons, 74, died Jan. 28, 2011, at Laurelwood CommunityLiving Center in Laurel. She was born in Milton Township, WayneCounty, Ohio, on Jan. 22, 1937, to Howard M. Schorle and MaybelleAlford.

She was retired and had worked as a secretary with State FarmInsurance Company. She was a member of the Southern Baptistfaith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Don Simmons;and her brother, Jim Schorle.

Survivors are her son, Father Matthew Simmons of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Dr. Rachel Chard of Laurel; and her grandchildren, Ericand Ethan Surrett.
