Funeral services for Betty Lanelle Prestridge Vierhout, ofAmite, La., formerly of Bogue Chitto, are 1 p.m. on Friday, April8, at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, with burial in Briar PatchCemetery in Husser, La.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. TheRev. Tim Allred is officiating.

Mrs. Vierhout, 70, died April 4, 2011, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on April 3, 1941, to Clifford Lee and JessieLee Johnson Prestridge.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a very loving wife,mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who lovedher.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ConnieVierhout; her brother, Marvin Prestridge; and her sister, CharlotteFitts.

Survivors are her son Parrish Brown and his wife, Jill, of Hammond,La.; her brother, Larry Prestridge and his wife, Frances, ofGonzales, La.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Glidden of Reserve, La.,Michael Olsen and Wesley Brown, both of Hammond; hergreat-grandchildren, Devin Collins, Victoria Glidden and AlexGlidden.
