Funeral services for Mary Hall Johnson, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m., Saturday, April 16, at Bethel A.M.E. Church with burial inCarver Heights Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Williams Mortuary withfamily hour on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Johnson, 76, died April 9, 2011, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on July 20, 1934, to Oscar Hall and MaryLouise Markham Hall.
She was a 1951 graduate of Alexander High School. She was a retiredteacher from the Brookhaven Public School system and was a memberof Bethel A.M.E. Church, where she served as head stewardess.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, former cityalderman, Clarence B. Johnson Sr.; her daughter, Wanda DeniseJohnson; four sisters, Maxie Winston, Lucretia Barnes, LucilleBaker and Orlean Ball; and a brother, John P. Harris.
Survivors include her four sons, Clarence Johnson Jr. and wife,Felecia, of Atlanta, Ga., Kenneth Johnson and wife, Georgia, ofFlowood, and Ramon Johnson and wife, Dorothy, and Timothy Johnson,all of Brookhaven; her two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; asister, Maydell Woodard, of Bude; and a host of relatives andfriends.
