Henry L. Russell, 74, of Monticello, died Sunday, April 17,2011, at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Funeral serviceswill be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at Wilson Funeral HomeChapel in Monticello with burial in New Zion Baptist ChurchCemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, April 19, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Russell was a member of Monticello Masonic Lodge, a Gideon, andhe loved carpentry work. He was an avid farmer and a past footballcoach. He retired as Superintendent of Education of Lawrence CountySchools. He taught and coached in the school system for 27years.

Preceding him in death by his parents, Paul Russell and DelmaWhittington Russell; his brother, Paul Grady Russell; and his son,Michael H. Russell.

Survivors are his wife, Ann James Russel of Monticello; his sons,Timothy L. Russell of Terry; Rusty Russell, Mark Russell andPhillip Russell, all of Monticello; and his daughter: KristiRussell of Monticello.
