Funeral services for Johnny Wallace, of Brookhaven, were 2 p.m.on Saturday, April 23, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel,with burial in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Wallace, 63, died April 22, 2011, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center. He was born in Natchez on Jan. 9, 1948, to WilliamC. Brown and Mary Coleman Wallace.

He was a retired logger and served in the U.S. Army during theVietnam War. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with hisdaughter, Amy. He was a member of the First Assembly of God.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, CarrollWallace; two sisters, Joyce Wallace and Aleane Wilkinson; twobrothers-in-law, Lamar Calcote and William “Bill” Hutcherson; andhis father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and EloiseNations.

Survivors are his wife, Virginia “Cookie” Nations Wallace; hisdaughter, Amy Beth Wallace; his brothers, Calvin, Sherrill, Paul,Ray and Roy Wallace, all of Brookhaven; his sisters, Irene Calcote,Elizabeth Franklin, Mary Ann Ritchie and Myrtle HutchersonCarthwright, all of Brookhaven; and his brothers-in-law andsisters-in-law, Billy and Gail Nations and Becky and Eules Dyess,all of Brookhaven, and Becky and Eules Dyess, of Meridian.
