Funeral services for Lavelle Martin Stevens, of Wesson, are 2p.m. on Saturday, June 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNorth Jackson Street with burial in Rocky Hill Baptist ChurchCemetery in Copiah County.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stevens, 82, died June 8, 2011, at Hardy Wilson MemorialHospital in Hazlehurst. She was born in Wesson on Dec. 3, 1928, toMonroe Hester and Fannie Smith Hester.

She was a homemaker and retired textile worker. She was a member ofthe Order of the Eastern Star and a member of First Baptist Churchof Hazlehurst.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Elon Martin, CecilMcCardle and Gus Stevens; her son-in-law, Sam Chinn; threebrothers; four sisters; one grandson; and onegreat-great-granddaughter.

Survivors are her daughters, Shirley Roberts and husband, Ken,Patsy Chinn, and Joyce Harris and husband, Thomas, all of Wesson;and her sister, Marie Miller, of Wesson.
