Services for George W. Parker, of Philadelphia, will be heldMonday, June 20, 2011, at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral HomeChapel in Philadelphia with Dr. Wayne Hill, Dr. Mike Carr and Dr.J. Ryan Parker officiating. Burial will be in CedarlawnCemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Parker, 76, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at hisresidence.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Philadelphia. Mr. Parkerwas a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a member ofPhiladelphia Masonic Lodge where he had served as past worshipmaster. He was past president of Neshoba County Shrine Club and amember of Hamasa Temple Shrine in Meridian.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his daughter, JudySamples.
Survivors include his wife, Voncile Thomas Parker, of Philadelphia;his daughters, Barbara McRae and husband, John David, of CanyonLake, Texas, and Susan Greene and husband, David, of Pensacola,Fla.; his sons, George O. Parker and wife, Patsy, of Brookhaven,and David Parker and wife, Cindy, of Philadelphia; hisgrandchildren, Olivia Watts and husband, Josh, of Brookhaven,Chance Parker and wife, Kim, of Philadelphia, Dr. J. Ryan Parkerand wife, Amy, of Alameda, Calif., Miles McRae and wife, Jill, ofNew Braunfels, Texas, Jacob McRae of Austin, Texas, and JordanParker of Philadelphia; three great-grandchildren; and his sisters,Harriett Smith, of Philadelphia, and Lyle Moore, of Monroe, La.
