Stuart Allen Briscoe Jr., 84, of TheWoodlands, Texas, passed away June 28, 2011.
He was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Water Valley to the late Stuart AllenBriscoe Sr. and M. Evelyn Briscoe. He was raised in Brookhavenbefore serving in the United States Navy during World War II.
Stuart is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, GeorgeannaBriscoe; his daughters, Susan Schaeffer and husband, Jim, andBarbara Ann Kohnert and husband, James; his son, Stuart AllenBriscoe III and wife, Jan; and numerous grandchildren,great-grandchildren, beloved nieces and nephews, other familymembers and dear friends.
Stuart and Georgeanna were longtime residents of South St. LouisCounty, Mo., and former parishioners of St. Justin the MartyrCatholic Church on Eddie and Park Road.
Stuart retired in 1988 as a quality control manager atAnheuser-Busch, Inc. in St. Louis, Mo., where he was a lifetimemember and former president of the St. Louis Beer, Bottle andBeverage Association. He was also a member of St. Anthony of PaduaCatholic Church in The Woodlands and Senior Pals at thechurch. Stuart was asports enthusiast and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinalsbaseball team.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, inthe Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home.
A graveside service is set for 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, atForest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. A memorial Mass will be held at11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, at St. Anthony of Padua CatholicChurch, 7801 Bay Branch Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77382.
