An 18-year-old Raymond man died Thursdayafternoon following a one-vehicle accident on Hurricane Lake Road,officials said.

    Wesley Aaron Sapp was pronounced dead at 4:50 p.m. at King’sDaughters Medical Center, said Lincoln County Coroner/MedicalExaminer Clay McMorris.

    Sapp was taken to the hospital following the accident that happenedaround 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of Hurricane Lake Road andGoodwill Loop. McMorris said Sapp, who was driving a 1987 SUV, hadjust dropped off a friend when the accident happened.

    “It looks like he lost control, ran off the road and struck atree,” McMorris said.

    McMorris said Sapp had an address in Raymond, where his motherlives, but also spent time in Brookhaven with his father. LincolnCounty School District officials said Sapp was previously a studentat West Lincoln Attendance Center, but did not attend there lastyear.
