On July 5, 2011, Heaven rejoiced inwelcoming home Billy Wayne Savage, 59, of Brookhaven.

    Billy, born Dec. 1, 1951, in Natchez and raised in Roxie, graduatedfrom Copiah-Lincoln Junior College. He loved life, family andexploring the country while driving his rig. He received manyservice awards throughout his 30 years as a professional truckdriver and was a member of Faith Assembly in Pearl.

    He died on July 5, 2011, at Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado.

    Anyone who knew or met Billy instantly felt the contagious laughterand smiles he evoked. He will be dearly missed by all those whoknew him.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arnold and AnnieMae Savage; and his sister, Margie Nell Savage Green.

    Survivors are his daughter, Amanda Savage, of Brookhaven, Penn.;his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Rose Marie Savage, ofPetal; his best friend and companion, Linda Miller Hudgins, ofBrookhaven; three grandchildren, Autumn, Taylor and Audrey Savage,of Pearl; and his brother, James Arnold Savage, of Meadville.

    Visitation is Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome on Natchez Drive. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in Roxie CityCemetery in Franklin County.
