Barbara Hooper Martin of Hattiesburg diedJuly 25, 2011. She was born in 1932 in Tupelo, and was a residentof Brookhaven before moving to Hattiesburg in 1975. She waspreceded in death by her father, Hubert Price Hooper, and mother,Eula Mae Crockett Hooper.

    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, atFirst Baptist Hattiesburg. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m.at the church.

    Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge ofarrangements.

    Mrs. Martin was a longtime member of First Baptist Hattiesburg,where she enjoyed her ladies Sunday school class and caring forinfants in the nursery.

    Survivors include her husband of 35 years, William Perry (Bill)Martin; four children, Betty Margaret Godbold Conerly, of St.Francisville, La., Stacy Godbold Fressell, of New Orleans, HughBeacham Godbold, of Gautier, Georgia Godbold McGee, ofHattiesburg;, three step-children, William Perry (Mart) Martin,Jr., of Atlanta, Ga., Brooks Bradley (Brad) Martin, of Hattiesburg,and Molly Martin Blass, of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Helon HooperMaynard, of Tupelo; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the preschool ministryof First Baptist in Hattiesburg.
