Funeral services for Wesley MauriceBessonette, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, atRiverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel, with burial in Union HallBaptist Church Cemetery.

    Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Bessonette, 83, died Aug. 11, 2011, at Haven Hall Nursing Home.He was born on Nov. 4, 1927, to Ernest Leon and Grace GoingsBessonette.

    He was a painter and a member of Union Hall Baptist Church.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; his wives, MayDean BraceyBessonette and Carrie Mae Bessonette; his sons, Jerry Bessonetteand Danny Bessonette; his daughter, Patricia Bessonette; and hisbrothers, Malcolm Bessonette, Lonny Bessonette and RudolfBessonette.

    Survivors are his daughters, Linda and Jolyn Bessonette, both ofBrookhaven; his stepson, Chad Case; his stepdaughter, TammyJackson; his brothers, Freddie and Homer Bessonette, both ofBrookhaven; his sister, Evelyn Bessonette Smith and husband, Don,of Arkansas; his grandchild, Trey Wilkinson; his step-grandchild,Shayla Melton; and his three step-great-grandchildren, AustynMelton, Kayleigh Scmitt and Kaughner Melton.
