Graham H. Tempel, 85, died Saturday, Aug.13, 2011, at the Beehive Home in Louisville. Funeral services wereheld on Monday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. at Porter Funeral Home, withthe Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Graveside services were held at3:30 p.m. Monday at Riverwood Memorial Park in Brookhaven with theRev. Pat Davey officiating. Porter Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

    Mr. Tempel was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Norwood, La. He was a Navyveteran of World War II. He graduated from Louisiana StateUniversity with a degree in electrical engineering, and worked for44 years with Mississippi Power and Light Company. He was a memberand leader of Faith Presbyterian Church in Brookhaven. He was amember of the Brookhaven Lions Club, and was actively involved incommunity services in Brookhaven for many years.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Barnett Tempel.

    He is survived by three daughters, Sally (Fitz) Miller, ofPensacola, Fla., Lucy (Dave) Little, of Natchez, and Beth Crawford,of Louisville; six grandchildren, Katie Crawford (David) Buys,Jamey Crawford (David) Willers, Cal Crawford, Madeline Crawford,Maggie Hinesley and Andrew Little; and two great-grandchildren,Peter Buys and Brieleigh Willers.
