Services for Retha Ann Campau, 94, ofBrookhaven, who died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center, were on Monday, Aug. 15, at Middleton CreekPrimitive Baptist Church in Franklin County with Bro. Tom Griffinofficiating.
Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction ofBrookhaven Funeral Home.
Mrs. Campau was born July 5, 1917, in Franklin County, the daughterof Grady Freeman and Retha Thornton Freeman. She was retired fromKellwood Company as a secretary. She was also a member of MiddletonCreek Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, EddieMullins and McKinley Campau; one daughter, LaNell Cothren; oneson-in-law, James “Jot” Cothren; and one grandson, Michael PaigeCothren.
Survivors include one son, the Rev. Glen Mullins and wife Pat, ofBrookhaven; one half-sister, Veda Freeman, of Smithdale; fivegrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and twogreat-great-grandchildren.
