Wanda Jean Martin Preston was born on Nov. 4, 1954, in Wesson.She went to be with Jesus on Aug. 29, 2011, in Clearwater, Fla.,where she resided for the past years.

She is the daughter of Susia Hudson Prine and Prentis Lavan Martin.She is the sister of Lisa Moran and Jennifer Matkin. She wasmarried to Elmer Sidney Preston for about 15 years. He was hercaregiver while she was disabled.

She is survived by her children Christopher, of St. Petersburg,Fla., and Elmer Sidney II Preston (Buddy), of Tampa, Fla. She wasgrandmother to five grandchildren, Paula, Erin, Elmer Sidney III(Little Buddy), twins Alex and Zack Preston. She is alsostepgrandmother to Anthony Meete, all of Florida.

Her aunts were Lucile Keys, Anna Laura Tucker, Mary Nell Martin,Sadie Carlisle, of Vicksburg, Sallie Sanders, Myrtle Lambert, LuraBarlow, of Wesson, Van Fairchild, of Hazlehurst, and Dorothy Merle,of Indiana.

Her uncles were C.A. Martin and Charlie Hudson, of Wesson, andDonald and Harry Smith, of Louisiana.

She had one niece, Morgan Moran, and one nephew, Taylor Matkin, andmany cousins of Vicksburg, Wesson, Brookhaven, Louisiana andTexas.
