Funeral services for John Swain Lambert, ofMonticello, are 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Wilson Funeral Homein Monticello, with burial in Pleasant Grove Methodist ChurchCemetery.

    Mr. Lambert, 84, died Oct. 9, 2011, at Covington County Hospital inCollins. He was born in Monticello on Sept. 5, 1927, to LuciousLambert and Maude Hill Lambert.

    He was well known for his music, especially playing the piano,traveling all over the U.S. driving a bus and performing with hismany groups and performers. His piano playing will be missed bymany.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; and wife,Ruby. 

            Survivors include his veryspecial friend, Artellia Ard, of Monticello.
