Graveside services for James Edwin Farris,of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, at RosehillCemetery in Brookhaven. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

    Visitation is Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home on Jackson Sreet.

    Mr. Farris, 81, died Oct. 11, 2011, at his home. He was born inJackson on June 19, 1930, to Joe Farris and Alma BessonetteFarris.

    He worked for Mississippi Power and Light Company for 39 years andwas a member of IBEW (Electric Workers Union). He was also a memberof Jr. Auxiliary and Auxiliary Police. He was a veteran and aBaptist.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother, GeorgeFarris. 

    Survivors are his wife, Lucille Richardson Farris; sons, JohnFarris, of Byram, and Jamie Farris and wife, Pam, of Brookhaven;daughter, Dr. Linda Farris, of Brookhaven; sister, Peggy; sixgrandchildren, Ashley Farris Martin, Logan Smith, Kaley Farris, LeeSmith, Dylan Farris and Cody Farris; and one great-grandchild,Aibry Martin.
