Funeral services for Curtis Rushing, ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, at Gum Grove BaptistChurch in Brookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery. Dr. JamesSanders, The Rev. Jimmy Smith and The Rev. Lonnie Case will beofficiating. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in chargeof arrangements.

    Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Rushing, 75, died Oct. 28, 2011, at his home. He was born inBrookhaven on Sept. 19, 1936, to Jimmy and Anna TerrellRushing.

    He was a retired truck driver with Texaco and a member of Gum GroveBaptist Church.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; stillborn son, AnthonyCurtis Rushing; and brothers, Hubert Rushing and Leon Rushing.

    Survivors are his wife, Adeline Rushing; daughter, Rhonda RushingHostetler and husband, Steve, of Batesville; granddaughter, LillyGrace Hostetler, of Batesville; and sister-in-law, Ruth Rushing, ofBrookhaven.

    Pallbearers will be Reggie Rushing, Al Herrington, Roy Dixon, TimPepper, Randy Pepper and Jim Williams.

    Honorary pallbearers are Clifton Morgan, C.W. Roberts, RobertTerrell, Lance Smith, Tom Morgan, Lin Newell, Tim Smith and JeffSmith.
