Funeral services for Iris Diane JonesMyers, of Ruth, are 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, at UnionPrimitive Baptist Church in Ruth, with burial in the churchcemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

    Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

    Mrs. Myers, 63, died Nov. 7, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. She was born in Mississippi on July 12, 1948, toFreddie L. Jones and Maggie Leontine Burns Jones.

    She was a medical technologist/lab manager for the State ofLouisiana at The Villa Feliciana Medical Complex. She graduatedfrom South Panola High School and William Carey University. She wasa member of Union Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Myers was awonderful wife and mother who devoted her life to her family. Shegave her family life, love, support, encouragement and comfort. Herjoy in life was singing. There was no place she felt closer toheaven than when she was singing the old hymns at Union Church.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers, JerryPaul Jones and Roger Jones.

    Survivors are her husband, Elder Randal B. Myers; sons, JosephBryant Myers and wife, Kristy, of Galliano, La., and James FredrickMyers and wife, Katrina, of Little Elm, Texas; daughters, CandaceDiane Myers Broadway and husband, Mitchell, of Charlotte, N.C., andLynnsey Brook Myers Douglas and husband, Gordon, of Brandon;brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Sandra Laird, Dennis andPolly Reeves and Sarah Jones; five grandchildren, Isaac Myers, NoahMyers, Joseph Myers, Ella Myers and Caleb Myers; and many niecesand nephews.
