Funeral services for Marlon Alvin Pepper,of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at Mt. Zion Churchof Christ in Brookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery.Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

    Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home andSaturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.

    Mr. Pepper, 83, died Dec. 7, 2011, at his home. He was born inMississippi on March 18, 1928, to Van and Josie P. Pepper.

    He was a retired carpenter and a member of Mt. Zion Church ofChrist.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Alvin Ladon Pepper;brothers, James Horton Pepper, Jerry Pepper and Thomas L. Pepper;and sister, Wilma Porter.

    Survivors are his wife, Bonnell Pepper; sons, James Roger Pepperand wife, Joe Ann, Randy Glenn Pepper and wife, Jill, Van TimothyPepper and wife, Barbara, and Terry Gregory Pepper and wife, Judy;daughter-in-law, Peggy Pepper; sisters, Gladys Richardson, DorothyBrooks, Ruth Newman and Josie Wright; 10 grandchildren; 17great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
