Funeral services for Melvin Rogers Arnold Jr., of Wesson,are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at Jones Family Funeral Servicesin McComb, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The Rev. MelArnold and The Rev. Dean Pierce will be officiating.

 

    Visitation is Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeralhome.

    Mr. Rogers, 42, died Dec. 13, 2011, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Wilmington, Del. on Jan. 1, 1969.

    He was an electrician and worked for his father, Mel Arnold. Heattended school in Wilmington, Del. He was a member of FirstBaptist Church of Summit.

    Preceding him in death were his grandparents.

    Survivors are his wife, Jessica Durham Arnold; father andstepmother, Melvin R. Arnold and Shirley Arnold; mother, Zula P.Arnold; sons, Jonathan Arnold and wife, Brittany, Matthew Arnoldand Daniel Arnold; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesse andBeverly Durham; brothers, Dennis Arnold and Timothy Arnold;sister-in-law, Christie Giackino and husband, Randy;brother-in-law, Marty Durham and wife, Donis; sisters, Lora AnnDove and Doreen Graham; stepsisters, Lisa Moak, Donna Marley andLoretta Pomes; grandchild, Caydin Arnold; and numerous nieces,nephews, family and friends.

    Pallbearers will be Marty Durham, Joshua Arnold, Nathan Arnold,Randy Giackino, James Arnold and Steve Graham. Honorary pallbearerswill be his sons, Jonathan, Matthew and Daniel Arnold.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baptist Children’sVillage.
