Funeral services for Rogene McCaffery, of Bogue Chitto,are 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Dec. 27, at Brookhaven Funeral Home onNatchez Drive, with burial in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

    Mrs. McCaffery, 76, died Dec. 23, 2011, at her home. She was bornin Lincoln County on May 3, 1935, to Jessie Winborne and HettieEllen Winborne.

    She was a retired nurse’s aid and a member of Calvary BaptistChurch.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Leroy Freeman;and sons, Terry Davis and Greg Freeman.

    Survivors are her daughter, LaWanda Smith and husband, Carl, ofBogue Chitto; brothers, J.D. Winborne, of Natchez, and Lonnie RayWinborne, of Tennessee; sister, Beatrice Hedglin, of Natchez; fourgrandchildren, Takisha Whittington, Darci Boyte, Doug Freeman andMisty Newman; and 9 great-grandchildren.

    Pallbearers are Jacob Whittington, Nathan Boyte, Billy Newman, DougFreeman, Todd Winborne and Danny Hedglin.
