Graveside services for Sherrod Tyson Ratcliff, of LakeCity, Florida, formerly of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Thursday,Dec. 29, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. TheRev. Richard Rodriguez will be officiating. Guerry Funeral Home inLake City is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Ratcliff, 69, died Dec. 26, 2011, at The Health Center in LakeCity. He was born in Brookhaven to Fred Tyson and Leona AdelineSmith Ratcliff.

    He moved from Brookhaven to Lake City in 2001. He was a member ofthe Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Brookhaven and a veteran ofVietnam, serving in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Ratcliff loved watchingthe Saints play. He was employed for the Federal AviationAdministration as an Electronic Technician.

    Preceding him in death were his parents.

    Survivors are his loving wife of 41 years, Sandra Ratcliff; son,Andrew Ty Ratcliff, of Carrollton; daughter, Sandi Rickles andhusband, Billy, of Lake City; sister, Carolyn McGehee, ofBrookhaven; brother, Jewel McManus, of Brookhaven; and fourgrandchildren, Ashley, Riley, Haley and Brady Rickles, all of LakeCity, Fla.
