Funeral services for Margaret McKenzieShipp, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at CatchingsFuneral Home in McComb, with burial in Magnolia City Cemetery. Dr.David Millican will be officiating.

    Visitation is Wednesday from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeralhome.

    Mrs. Shipp, 90, died Jan. 3, 2012, at Brook Manor Nursing Home. Shewas born in Pike County on Nov. 18, 1921, to Harry E. McKenzie Sr.and Nellie Hilbun McKenzie.

    She was retired from her nursing career and from Shipp’s Flowers inBrookhaven. She was a member of South McComb Baptist Church and wasPast Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Harry McKenzieJr.; and son-in-law, Stan Cremer.

    Survivors are her daughters, Margaret Ann Smith and husband,Ronald, of Brookhaven, and Frances Nell Cremer, of Grandbury,Texas; brothers, Wilson “Odie” McKenzie, of McComb, and BuddyMcKenzie and wife, Dorothy, of Gloster; sister, Nelda McKenzie Longand husband, Jimmy, of McComb; grandchildren, Angie Barber andhusband, Glenn, Kevin Smith and wife, Vanessa, Tammy Corr andhusband, Rodney, and Kelly Webb and husband Spencer; 10great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sentto Hospice Compassus, 140 North 5th St., McComb, MS 39648.
