Funeral services for Juanita MizellAlexander, of Jayess, are 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at CalvaryUnited Pentecostal Church in Jayess, with burial in RobertsMemorial Cemetery in Topeka. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is incharge of arrangements.

    Visitation is Tuesday from 5 p.m. until at the church.

    Mrs. Alexander, 78, died Feb. 13, 2012, at her home. She was bornin Louisiana on Sept. 5, 1933, to Delos and Ethel HughesMizell.

    She was retired from Bell South Communications. For the past 46years, Juanita was a faithful, active member of Calvary UnitedPentecostal Church of Jayess. Despite being confined to awheelchair for the past 18 years, her attitude and disposition wasalways cheerful and positive. She never complained about hersituation. On several occasions, Juanita expressed how herchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the “joy ofher life.”

    Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Rupert, GFand Arvelee Mizell; and two sisters, Voncile Westmoreland and OpalClark.

    Survivors are her husband of 52 years, Billy Alexander; son, DeanScott and wife, Debbie Lynn; one grandson, Lee Scott Alexander andwife, Holly Lynn; three great-grandchildren, Ava Kate, Olivia Lynnand Mason Scott Alexander; special niece, Marcie Davis; and specialfriend, Christine Lambert.
