Funeral services for Peggy B. Castilaw, ofBrookhaven, were 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Little BahaliaBaptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. BrookhavenFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Visitation was Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home onNatchez Drive.

    Mrs. Castilaw, 80, died Feb. 12, 2012, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Brookhaven on July 11,1931, to Thad and Loucyle Bowman.  .

    She attended Heucks Retreat School and worked at the KellwoodCompany in Wesson, the Potter Company in Wesson and retired fromJackson Studio in Brookhaven. She was a lifelong member of LittleBahalia Baptist Church, where she served in various capacities. Sheloved her Lord and her family and spent many hours doing for othersas well as volunteering her time at Hospice Ministries. She was adevoted wife for 64 years and a selfless mother, grandmother andgreat-grandmother. She consciously lived her life for herfamily.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, LaurieBurnett; one sister, Carla M. Bowman; and one brother, NeilBowman.

    Survivors are her husband, Proby; three daughters, Carolyn Loganand husband, Butch, Angie Spencer and husband, Bruce, and IrisWaldrop and husband, Doyle; 11 grandchildren, Jason Hedgepeth andwife, Misti, Mindy Smith and husband, Vince, Mallory Logan, LeighReed and husband, Steven, Lindsey Davis and husband, Brian, CaseyWaldrop and husband, Brad, Grant Spencer and wife, Gayla, JessiClaire Stringer and husband, Dan, Trey Waldrop and wife, Laura,Carly Waldrop and Mike Waldrop; 16 great-grandchildren, Carolineand Micah, Lily and Owen, Conner, Sara, Autumn, Zachary, LariJayne, Cooper, Braxton, Tanner, Emma Lou, Payne, Cole, Mason andtwo on the way; and one cousin, David Smith.
